Port of Miami Crane Management, Inc. (PMCM, also known as Port of Miami Crane Management, Inc.) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced contractors specializing in the relocation of Ship-to-Shore (STS, also known as Quay) Gantry Container Cranes. Contractors must demonstrate a minimum of ten (10) years of experience performing similar or identical work.

The selected contractor will be responsible for completing the scope of work related to the relocation of Crane 9 (Base Work) and Crane 7 (Optional) at PortMiami, as detailed in this RFP.  Port of Miami Crane Management, Inc. reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to enter into a contract with the most qualified and responsive proposer. Demonstrated qualifications and relevant experience are mandatory and will be strictly evaluated.

Currently, the Port operates thirteen (13) cranes of which Crane 9 is located at Wharf 1 and Crane 7 is located at Wharf 5. As a result of and to increase operations of large capacity vessels, Cranes 9 and 7 require to be relocated from Wharves 1 and 5 respectively. Both cranes are fully functional and currently operating. The Contractor shall perform the RFP specified Work of the Cranes’ relocation on PortMiami as further described in the RFP.  Under any Contract issued as a result of this RFP, Port of Miami Crane Management, at its sole discretion, shall have the option to contract with the successful qualified Contractor for the services as described in the RFP. Qualifications and prior experience are strictly required.

Interested Contractors are invited to submit their proposed schedule, methods to perform the work and price in accordance with the specifications outlined in the RFP. The RFP package will be available on Monday, May 19, 2025, and can be obtained by e-mail to Millie Garcia at [email protected].  A Pre-Proposal Meeting and Site Visit will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (EST) at 2650 Port Blvd., 2nd Floor, Miami, FL 33132. A follow-up Clarification Site Visit will take place at the same location on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (EST).It is encouraged that all interested Contractor’s attend, prior to proposal submission. The bidding period shall close on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST
